The income distributions are almost identical (if anything, Radnor might have a slightly higher middle class population). I'm not sure where people get that from (it's a common misconception). Lower Merion, though very wealthy still has some reasonable neighborhoods. The only difference between the two is that Radnor does not have a middle class population. Radnor and Lower Merion Public and Private schools all have phenomenal reputations. Not sure about Radnor, but some local TV and Radio stations are headquartered just over city line in Lower Merionīoth have high quality of life by most measures IMO Niche Industry (What are they for either?) My hunch is that LM has better bus service? LM will be quicker to center city by transit Both are partly served by the Norristown High speed line. Radnor schools have a good reputation but I don't have much first hand experience.īoth are served by the Paoli/Thorndale line. I personally didn't have very good experiences in LMSD, but most people who went there did. I think LM has better variety of twins/rowhouses in addition to larger single family homes. Neither is all that diverse to be honest. I think Bryn Mawr might be better than Villanova, but it isn't coed so if your a boy then Radnor Neither really have downtowns per se, both have local commercial strips in say, Ardmore or Wayne. Not sure, LM has plenty of nice parks but none that stand out as superlative to me. Maybe LM because of the views in Belmont hills
